Software Design Personal Project
A mentorship-based project class for self-directed students who want guidance while building software through real testing and revision.
How it works
- Students can either bring an existing project idea or begin from a provided project path
- Each week includes a live meeting for progress review, direction, and feedback
- Students receive custom assigned pathways, exploration, and next steps based on the project they are actually building
- The goal is to move through a full cycle of creating, testing, improving, and using feedback well
Best fit
- This class is meant for students who already have some experience and can work with a high degree of self-direction between meetings
- Support includes project guidance, mentorship, scoping help, and structured iteration
- When available, we help students find real users or testers so projects can improve through actual feedback and use
- Tools, languages, and technical pathways may vary based on the project and the student's goals
